Where the differences come from

What drives the price of a website

Unique page designs

Every layout that differs from the others has to be designed, built and tested separately. Ten pages using three layouts costs considerably less than ten pages using ten layouts.

Integrations

A link to a CRM, ERP, booking system or payment provider is often the largest single cost item. A well-documented API is quick work; a closed or legacy system is not.

Content and imagery

If you deliver the texts and photography yourself, that saves budget. If we write the copy and arrange the photography, factor in extra cost but usually a considerably better result.

After launch

What it costs to keep running

A website is not finished at launch. Hosting, security updates and framework upgrades continue, and we prefer to be upfront about what that costs rather than surprise you with it later.

From €45 / month

Hosting and maintenance for a website: European servers, daily backups, 99.9% uptime and all security updates.

From €65 / month

Hosting and maintenance for a webshop or web application, including monitoring and priority response.

€100 / hour

Development work after launch, billed per hour or from a discounted bundle of hours.

Frequently asked questions about pricing

What does a website cost in the Netherlands?

A custom website from us costs between €750 and €5,000. A webshop starts around €4,000, and a web application ranges from €5,000 to €30,000 depending entirely on scope. The differences come down to the number of unique page designs, the integrations you need and how much of the content we write for you.

Why do you not have fixed prices?

Because the same brief can differ by a factor of three in work. A website with five pages and one contact form is not comparable to one with a customer portal and a link to your ERP. We quote a fixed price per project, but only after we know what we are building.

What are the ongoing costs after launch?

Hosting, updates and security patches run from €45 per month for a website. That covers European hosting, a 99.9% uptime guarantee, daily backups and keeping the framework and dependencies up to date. Your domain name is a separate annual cost, and the price varies by extension: a .nl is among the cheaper ones, while some extensions cost considerably more. Changes to your website are billed hourly or from a bundle of hours.

Is a custom website worth it compared to WordPress?

It depends on what you need. If a template covers your case, a template is cheaper and we will tell you so. Custom development pays off when your process is unusual, when you need integrations, or when page speed and accessibility are business-critical. It also avoids the plugin maintenance and security exposure that comes with a large WordPress install.

Do you ask for a deposit?

Yes, we always ask for a 25% deposit up front. The remaining 75% is invoiced as the project progresses, so you are never paying far ahead of delivered work.

What if the project turns out bigger than quoted?

We flag it as soon as we see it, before the extra work happens, and you decide whether it goes in now or in a later phase. We do not send surprise invoices at the end of a project.
